Photography is the art of capturing light to create images that are used for a variety of purposes - art, journalism, portraiture, and more. To be a good photographer, you should have technical skills (understanding how your camera works) as well as a creative eye. At Wayne State College, you’ll develop these skills, as well as an eye for what makes a good image. Our photography classes will teach you about composition, lighting, camera usage and care, processing and printing, and organization methods. You’ll then be able to put these skills to use in careers such as business, journalism, art and graphic design, and even criminal justice.
