Grant Schrick

Grant Schrick is an instructor of industrial technology at Wayne State College.

Schrick has spent his adult life accumulating knowledge and experience in the industrial technology field. After high school, he attended Central Community College in Hastings and earned diplomas in precision manufacturing and drafting. He then worked at a machine shop manufacturing parts for a variety of companies, primarily Boeing and Air Bus. After a couple of years working in the manufacturing industry, he decided to become an industrial technology teacher. He enrolled at Wayne State College in pursuit of a bachelor’s degree in skilled and technical sciences education. He then continued at Wayne State as a graduate assistant in the Center for Applied Technology. After graduating with a Master of Science in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in industrial tech education, Schrick then taught at Beatrice High School for a year before returning to Wayne State as an instructor.

In addition to his professional experience in education, Schrick has worked numerous jobs related to industrial technology. These jobs have included automotive, welding, construction materials, and landscaping.

In his free time, Schrick enjoys motorcycles, reading, cooking, listening to music and shooting sports. He spends his summers at his family’s ranch in Montana.

Schrick is attentive to details, creative, and responsible. He welcomes any opportunity to collaborate with others. He has a passion for teaching and the manufacturing industry. He specializes in precision manufacturing, CNC machining, mechanical drafting, and welding.
