Lindsay McLaughlin

Dr. Lindsay McLaughlin is an assistant professor of marketing and management at Wayne State College. She is the Chapter Advisor for Sigma Beta Delta and serves on the SAR Committee. Dr. McLaughlin is the president of WEB, the Wayne Community School Elementary Booster Club, as well a member of Wayne Kiwanis.

Prior to rejoining Wayne State College in 2024, Dr. McLaughlin was a sales representative for Golden Harvest Seeds in the agricultural business industry. Dr. McLaughlin has previously worked at Wayne State College as an assistant professor of marketing from 2018 to 2022. She also worked on her family’s ranch, assisting in their cow-calf operation. Dr. McLaughlin served as the foundation director at the Wayne Community Schools Foundation and the varsity girls’ basketball coach. She has worked in various athletic institutions such as the University of Nebraska and Wayne State College.

Dr. McLaughlin has a passion and commitment for assisting students achieve their academic and career goals. Her focus is to structure her classes through a transformational and student-centered approach in an effort to drive forward the next generation of well-rounded and confident student graduates.  Dr. McLaughlin’s teaching interests include business communications, management theory and practice, principles of marketing, and marketing administration. Her research interests are leveraging AI as a pedagogical tool and integrating AI technology with traditional learning.

Dr. McLaughlin resides in Wayne with her husband Scott, the defensive coordinator for the Wildcat football team, their two sons, Cooper and Noah, and their dogs, Millie and Meeka. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, exercising, reading, glamping, watching football (Go Cats!) and basketball, and enjoying the outdoors.
