Theatre Arts Facilities

If you are interested in pursing an acting or directing oriented career, you'll earn experience on our annual productions. With three different venues to work with - from a small, intimate black box theatre to a large capacity stage - you'll gain first-hand experience with various performance space styles.

Ramsey Theatre
Ramsey Theatre, housed in the Lied Performing Arts Center, is the main performance venue and seats up to 675 spectators. It has a proscenium stage and offers opportunities for our actors and designers to accommodate their approaches for a larger space.

Black Box Theatre
Seating approximately 70, the Black Box offers a more intimate environment between performers and audience and allows our directors and designers to reconfigure the theatre space.

There are also occasions where we use the Ley Theatre, Willow Bowl, and other spaces around campuses to allow our students to share their work in multiple settings.
