Exhibit featuring one of Nebraska's most celebrated literary works Oct. 1 - Nov. 15 during library hours. Open to the public.

Beginning Oct. 1, Conn Library will host "Here at Last Is An American Novel: Willa Cather's My Ántonia," a traveling exhibit exploring the inspirations, creation, and enduring legacy of one of Nebraska's most celebrated literary works.

Through historical context, interpretive content, and reflection prompts, the exhibit examines how My Ántonia continues to resonate with readers today. Topics include immigration and assimilation, class and labor, rural life, changing landscapes, colonialism, and contemporary conversations about identity and belonging. With translations in more than 30 languages, the novel's worldwide appeal highlights its lasting relevance across cultures and generations.

Faculty, students, and community members are invited to discover the story behind this American classic and explore how its themes continue to shape conversations about the American experience.

The exhibit is located on the main floor of Conn Library and will remain on display through Nov. 15.
