Bio

Paige Pollard Green (2008-12) from Newcastle High School (Neb.) was a standout track and field athlete for the Wildcats. She was a two-time NCAA All-American during senior season, placing sixth in 800-meter run and ran leg on eighth place 4x400-meter relay. Pollard was a three-time NCAA Outdoor qualifier and two-time NCAA Indoor National qualifier. Pollard was the NSIC Field Athlete of the Year in 2011 and 2012. She was a six-time NSIC conference champion and 11 times earned All-NSIC honors (top three in event). Today she still holds five individual school records (three indoor, three outdoor) and has her name on five other school record relay teams. Pollard was also an Academic All-American Third Team selection as a senior. Following WSC, she was the high school volleyball coach at Ponca, Neb., for two years, assistant basketball coach at Allen, Neb., for three years, and track coach at Allen for five years. She is now a stay-at-home mother with her children Ellie (3½) and Calvin (2) and resides outside of Allen. She was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2023.
