Tessa Braun teaches teaches courses in physical education, health, and human development at Wayne State College. She is passionate about promoting physical fitness and motor development in students, with a focus on creating engaging and inclusive learning environments for all ages.

Before joining WSC, Braun taught at Emerson-Hubbard Community Schools and coached for the Tri-County Northeast sports co-op in Nebraska, which includes Allen and Emerson-Hubbard. She is a member of the American Alliance for Health, Physical Education, Recreation, and Dance, as well as SHAPE Nebraska. Braun is dedicated to mentoring aspiring physical education teachers and providing opportunities for students to gain hands-on experience in diverse teaching and coaching settings.

Her teaching interests include motor development, sports, experiential learning, and cross-curricular integration in physical education. Braun’s professional interests center on educational strategies for motor skills development and promoting physical activity as a means of enhancing health and well-being.

Braun is currently a doctoral student at the University of South Dakota.
