Dr. Sara Walsh is an education professor at Wayne State College and serves on the Academic Policies Committee. Walsh has implemented the co-teaching during clinical practice model, serves as the contact for this program, and leads the training workshops. She also conducts service-learning projects with Wayne Community, Wayne St. Mary's, Wakefield, Allen, and Emerson-Hubbard elementary students at Ike's Lake.

Before coming to Wayne State, Walsh taught science classes for grades 7-12 at Elgin Public School in Elgin, Neb., for 11 years. She also creates science learning opportunities throughout the year for libraries, child care centers, and local events.

Walsh's research interests include educational psychology, science education, and intrinsic motivation.
