Scott Bidroski (a graduate of Omaha Roncalli in Nebraska) was a standout baseball player at Wayne State from 2004 to 2007, a four-year starter at third base and shortstop for the Wildcats. His career record was 163-63-1 and Bidroski played on four NSIC regular season championship teams, was a three-time NSIC Tournament champion, and played in the NCAA Tournament all four years. Bidroski was First Team All-NSIC as a sophomore and senior and All-NSIC honorable mention selection as a junior. He was the MVP of the 2006 NSIC Baseball Tournament and was an All Tournament selection as a sophomore, junior, and senior. His senior season, Bidroski was ABCA First Team All-Region and Second Team All-American after batting .377 with team-highs of 12 homers and 64 RBIs that season. Bidroski currently ranks as the all-time leader in RBIs (192), at bats (757) and assists, while ranking second in career hits (267) and total bases (412) and fifth in career home runs (27), doubles (50), and runs scored (183). Bidroski has coached high school baseball for nine years at Omaha Roncalli, Columbus High School, and Gordon-Rushville-Hay Springs Post 34. He currently resides in Gordon (Neb.) with his wife Haley (a WSC graduate) and their three children – Braxton (7), Gage (5), and Everett (3). He is a route salesman/service man for Harris Sales Company. Bidroski was inducted into the Wayne State Athletic Hall of Fame on Oct. 5, 2019.
