Troy Pribnow played football for five seasons at Wayne State from 2004 to 2008. The Scribner-Snyder High School (Neb.) graduate became Wayne State’s first All-American since Brad Ottis (1993) as a senior in 2008, named to five different All-American teams after leading the NSIC in sacks (14), tackles for loss (22), forced fumbles (5), and fumble recoveries (4). As a senior, Pribnow ranked third in NCAA Division II in sacks and eighth in tackles for loss, helping WSC to a 9-3 record and only NCAA Division II playoff berth in school history and tie for NSIC South Division title. Pribnow’s 2008 All-American honors included First Team AFCA, Second Team Daktronics, Associated Press Little All-American Team, D2Football.com, and Lineman of the Year from Don Hansen’s Football Gazette. As a junior, Pribnow had 12 sacks, 20.5 tackles for loss, 69 tackles, and three fumble recoveries to earn First Team All-NSIC honors, helping WSC to a 7-5 record and trip to the Mineral Water Bowl. Pribnow finished his career as First Team All-NSIC selection as a junior and senior and All-American as a senior. His 29 career sacks rank fourth all-time at WSC while his 14 sacks as a senior tied for the second most in school history. Pribnow’s 12 sacks during junior season are sixth on the all-time list at Wayne State College. Pribnow currently resides in Lincoln, Neb., and serves as operations manager of Midwest Farmers Coop in Palmyra. Pribnow was inducted into the WSC Athletics Hall of Fame on Oct. 7, 2017.
