Matt Kneifl

Matt Kneifl was a standout hurdler for the Wildcat track and field teams from 1997 to 2001, winning four Northern Sun Conference individual titles to go with All-American honors in 2001. Kneifl, a graduate of Newcastle High School in Nebraska, finished seventh at the NCAA Division II Indoor Nationals in 2001 in the 55-meter hurdles with a time of 7.55 seconds to earn All-American honors. He also was an Academic All-American in 2001.In 2000, Kneifl was the NSIC champion in the 110- and 400-meter hurdles in outdoor track and field and in 2001 won the 55-meter hurdles title (indoors) and the 110-meter hurdles title during the outdoor season. At the time of his induction in 2009, Kneifl was working for Edward Jones Investments in West Des Moines, Iowa.
