Loren Andrews attended Wayne State from 1928 to 1932. A native of Randolph, Neb., where he graduated from high school, Andrews earned a dozen letters as a WSC athlete, lettering each year in football, basketball and track. The 1931 Wildcat football team, under Coach Ray Hickman, posted a 7-0-1 record. The 1929-30 basketball team earned a conference championship as did the track squad. Andrews was inducted into the WSC Athletics Hall of Fame on Oct. 17, 1981.
