Henry Schmitz is one of the most beloved figures in the Hall of Contributions. He was a custodian in Rice Auditorium for 16 years until he retired in 1975. Countless scores of former WSC students recall his efforts on behalf of Wayne State College. He died just months after his 1981 induction into the Hall of Fame. Henry Schmitz was inducted into the WSC Athletics Hall of Fame on Oct. 17, 1981.
