Gordy Godfrey was a standout defensive back for Del Stoltenberg's football teams in the early 1970s. Godfrey, a native of Aberdeen, Wash., earned two letters (1972, 1973) and had a 48-yard fumble return for a touchdown against Nebraska Wesleyan in 1972. He graduated from WSC in 1973. Godfrey was inducted into the WSC Athletics Hall of Fame in the fall of 1992.
