Dennis H. Johnson

Dennis H. Johnson is a 1963 graduate of Wayne State College and has been a longtime contributor to the Wildcat athletic programs, especially men's basketball. He has made donations to numerous athletic projects at Wayne State College, including the field turf/stadium project in 2013 and the track/stadium project in 2008, just to name a few. Johnson, a native of Wausa, played basketball at Wayne State College for four years (1959-63) and shared Most Valuable Players honors on the 1962-63 team as a senior after averaging 15.4 points and 4.6 rebounds per game for Hall of Fame coach Al Svenningson. Johnson was a coach and teacher for 35 years, spending the last 28 in Westminster, Colo., with the Adams County School District No. 50, where he still works part-time as stadium manager and athletics manager, as of this writing. He still visits Wayne State College on an annual basis and attends numerous Wayne State home sporting events.
