Cindy Heesacker-Gasper

Cindy Heesacker-Gasper was a stellar track and field athlete at Wayne State from 1982 to 1986, qualifying for the NAIA National Meet all four seasons. She earned All-American honors during her sophomore season in 1984 with a sixth place finish in the 400-meter dash. She also placed fourth in the sprint medley relay. During her junior year, Heesacker-Gasper finished fifth in the sprint medley relay and was seventh in the 400-meter dash. She qualified in three events for the NAIA Nationals in her senior year, taking sixth in the sprint medley relay and placing eighth in the 400-meter dash. Heesacker-Gasper was inducted into the Wayne State Athletics Hall of Fame on Oct. 16, 2004.
