Amy Brodersen Riggs

Arguably one of the best ball handling and shooting guards in Wayne State women's basketball history, Amy Brodersen-Riggs was a four-year starter with the Wildcats from 1993 to 1997. At the time of her induction in 2009, the O'Neill, Neb., native ranked seventh in career scoring with 1,281 points and was third in career steals with 194 and third in career assists with 396. Brodersen-Riggs started 95 out of 105 career games and averaged 12.2 points, 4.46 rebounds and 3.77 assists per game and made 46.6 percent of her shots from the field during her career. She helped the 1993-94 team go 22-5 overall, including a perfect 12-0 at home, the first ever WSC women's basketball team to go unbeaten at home during the season. As a senior, Brodersen-Riggs averaged a career-high 15.7 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 3.79 assists per game. At the time of her induction in 2009, she was a financial planner for Morgan Stanley Smith Barney in Omaha, Neb. She also serves on the WSC Athletic Hall of Fame Committee.
