Behavioral Health Conference details

The Northeast Nebraska Behavioral Health Conference was established through key partnerships as a free multi-disciplinary behavioral health conference addressing themes around integrative health care and rural behavioral health workforce needs. Conference goals include providing accessible training and creating community among helping professionals in the region.

In 2021, the WSC Counseling Department was awarded a $1-million HRSA-BHWET grant and launched the first professional development event that August. The program expanded the following year into a full day of training and networking. Following several years of collaboration, WSC and BHECN formalized the BHECN Northeast partnership in 2023. In March 2024 and March 2025, the expanded Northeast Nebraska Behavioral Health Conference was a co-hosted effort, reflecting a concerted shift from the initial grant investment to BHECN Northeast’s delivery of sustainable workforce initiatives.

Note: No conference is scheduled for Spring 2026. Previous programs and conference information are available by request.

Stay up to date with ongoing regional and statewide programming with BHECN Northeast and the Behavioral Health Education Center of Nebraska (UNMC).
