Wayne State College provides students the opportunity to pursue bachelors degrees in Art Education, Graphic Design, or Studio Art.
ART EDUCATION.
The department prides itself on the reputation of the Art Education program which has for several years been providing innovation and leadership throughout the region. The employment opportunities of our graduates have been outstanding. Virtually every applicant for a teaching position is placed within a short period of time.
GRAPHIC DESIGN.
The Graphic Design program utilizes the latest software available to provide students with extensive training on the use of the computer as both a design and production tool. A strong foundation in art and design along with the emphasis on computer graphics prepares our graduates to be well received in the field. Graduates enjoy excellent opportunities for employment in a broad range of specialty areas including publication design (book, magazine, newspaper), advertising design (logo, package, sign design, corporate image), web page design, and graphic design for television and movies.
STUDIO ART.
The Studio Art program is designed to provide the necessary skills to those students who anticipate becoming practicing visual artists. To this end the program prepares the student to ultimately pursue graduate work at a university or graduates may choose to market their work or go into other art-related fields.
There are no events scheduled over the summer months.
If you have an event you would like to schedule for the 2010-11 semester please contact James O'Donnell at (402) 375-7394.
