Far from Normal
We started as Nebraska Normal College, a teacher's college, in 1891. More than 125 years later, 1 out of 10 Nebraska teachers holds at least one degree from Wayne State.
Our People Make the Difference
Our students tell us they chose Wayne State because it feels like home, a second family. Our family is made up of 123 full-time faculty, 81% of which have their terminal degree. We are led by President Marysz Rames, who was selected to lead the college in June 2015.
