Wayne State College is the only public college in Nebraska to be named for the 2019-20 year.

Wayne State College has been honored as a College of Distinction for the 2019-20 school year, particularly for business and education. It's one of only five colleges in Nebraska to be included, and it's the only public college in the state to be recognized for this honor.

Through a rigorous vetting and interview process for the 2019-20 academic year, Colleges of Distinction refreshed and reaffirmed that these institutions strive for excellence in line with the four overarching distinctions:
