Twenty-four students attended the first BST Gold Start Day at Wayne State on March 22, 2024.
Twenty-four area high school students participated in the Wayne State College School of Business and Technology’s inaugural BST Gold Start Day on March 22.
The day was designed to bring together the School of Business and Technology’s incoming freshmen so they could celebrate their commitment to Wayne State, learn about the school, and see some of the School of Business and Technology’s offerings.
Students were able to tour campus buildings and classrooms, participate in a panel discussion with Wayne State faculty and current students, see a robotics demonstration, play games and win prizes, and have a group photo taken by a drone during a demonstration.
“I was very excited about the participation of faculty and staff and especially the students,” said Dr. Gerard Ras, dean of the School of Business and Technology. “Their energy and creative activities showed that we build relationships with our students. At Wayne State, we invest in each and every student.”
