The Summer Music Academy is ending but musicians can register for the upcoming Summer Music Camp, which is July 31 through Aug. 3.
Wayne State College’s Summer Music Academy comes to a close Friday, June 23.
Participants were able to refine their musical skills in the Summer 2023 session, which served those 5 years of age to adult with one weekly 30-minute lesson. Piano or voice lessons were offered with other instrument lessons available upon request. Summer Music Academy teachers included accomplished WSC music students.
Registration for Wayne State’s Summer Music Camp is still open. The camp runs July 31 through Aug. 3 and is open to students in grades 5-12 (must have completed 5th grade). The camp will provide learning opportunities in band, jazz, sight singing, choir, ukulele, conducting, and individual lessons as well as social gatherings.
Camp fees are $350 for resident campers and $300 for commuters. Register at www.wsc.edu/music-camp by the July 24 deadline.
