The concert, free and open to the public, is at 7:30 p.m. in Ley Theatre.
The Wayne State College String Ensemble will present an eclectic mix of classical music at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 7, in Ley Theatre, located in the Brandenburg Building. The performance is free and open to the public and will also be livestreamed.

Musical selections include the energetic “Allegro Presto from Symphony No. 2,” arranged by Deborah Baker Monday; “Concerto Grosso, Op. 6, No. 8, Movement 1,” also known as the “Christmas Concerto,” by Arcangelo Corelli; and “Orpheus in the Underworld,” featuring the lively cancan, arranged by Sandra Dackow.
Ensemble members include Wayne State students, local high school students, and community members. The ensemble is directed by Jordyn Irlmeier, adjunct instructor of music at Wayne State.
