Experience a musical journey through time and place during the piano concert Sept. 27.
Experience a musical journey through time and place during the Deux Femmes Pianistes concert Tuesday, Sept. 27, in Ley Theatre at Wayne State College. The 7:30 p.m. performance features pianists Angela Miller-Niles, DMA, professor of piano, and Shelly Armstrong, MME, WSC staff accompanist.
The concert is free and open to the public and will also be livestreamed.

Arranged for two pianos and four hands, concert repertoire displays the exemplary talent of the pianists. Selections also highlight historical and present-day works from around the world.
The colorful and sonically rich works embrace internationally famous Cecile Chaminade, the first female awarded the French Legion d’Honneur; renowned educator Wladyslawa Markiewiczowna of Poland; and influential Dutch-Australian composer Meta Overman. Living composers include Iranian-Canadian Parisa Sabet and South Korean-American SiHyun Uhm.
