Student Judicial Board

The Student Judicial Board (J-Board) is a peer-level hearing body for students at Wayne State College. The Student Judicial Board is comprised of students selected by the Judicial Board Advisory Panel and is chaired by a student of the J-Board. J-Board meets during the academic year as needed and is responsible for hearing conduct cases involving alleged violations of campus policies. J-Board allows students to have a voice in their community and help to promote a sense of responsibility at WSC.

The primary purpose of J-Board is to educate students about WSC policies while encouraging them to consider what it means to be responsible members of the WSC community. J-Board will provide students with the unique opportunity to develop and hone their leadership and communication skills, as well as teach them to think critically and work cooperatively with others. Student members will gain an increased sense of community and civic responsibility and develop a working knowledge of institutional policies and procedures. J-Board allows students the opportunity to work with their peers and hold them accountable for their choices and actions, as well as assist them in understanding how decisions impact the WSC community.
