Hometown: I moved around a lot when my dad was in the Army, so my default answer is Norfolk, Neb.

High school: Elkhorn Valley High School

College education: B.A. Secondary Education (Spanish and Social Sciences), Wayne State College, 2019; MAE Spanish Education, University of Nebraska-Kearney, 2023

Favorite things about WSC: There’s a lot to love about WSC, but my favorite things are the marching band and the professors. The marching and pep bands are such a fun and energetic addition to sporting events and any student can participate (not just music majors)! The smaller class sizes at WSC provide more genuine interaction with classmates and professors. The professors at WSC are truly experts in their field, and their passion for teaching is clear.

Favorite spot on campus: My favorite place on campus is Peterson Fine Arts! I love watching/hearing the awesome marching band in the fall, catching concert performances year-round, or just walking through the newly renovated building and hearing students practicing their pieces.

College search advice: Go on college visits, and apply, apply, apply for scholarships! Visits are a fantastic way to get the feel (or vibes) of the college and picture yourself as a student. Apply for all scholarships available to you - it will be worth it.

Hobbies: I LOVE to travel - locally, nationally, internationally, anywhere! I also enjoy lifting weights and going to Strongman competitions with my husband, reading mystery novels, playing video games, and cooking!

Fun fact: I’ve studied abroad in Costa Rica and Spain.
