Eligibility and Application Process
The Ron Holt Civic Engagement Award provides a $1,000 gift, trophy, and recognition at graduation to a Wayne State College (WSC) senior who, while in college, served as an exemplary role model and contributed to the service ethos of the college campus and community at large. Participation in service and leadership activities and at least one service-learning project/placement/event, academic or co-curricular project, must be included.
Eligibility
All graduating seniors who have participated in at least one service-learning project, have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5, have served as a leader for a campus or community club or organization, and who have maintained a good conduct and academic record during his/her tenure are eligible. Additionally, attendance is required for the award luncheon (if held), and the recipient must attend the graduation ceremony (if held). Application guidelines and selection process
Wayne State College December 2024 or May 2025 students cleared for graduation who meet the eligibility requirements may complete the application process. You must complete all application requirements in the checklist below before submitting the online application form.

Application deadline
The award application deadline for December 2024 or May 2025 graduates is March 18, 2025. Members of the Ron Holt Civic Engagement evaluation committee will review all application material.
Award dinner
In-person acceptance of the award is required. Award dinner is scheduled for April 10, 2025.
