Speech Team Competes at 2024 Nationals; Randall Nets Fifth Place Finish

The WSC Speech Team recently ended its season at the 2024 national tournament April 18-22.

Zachery Randall, Pender, finished fifth in the Novice Impromptu Speaker category when Wayne State College’s forensics team competed in the National Forensics Association (NFA) National Speech Tournament at Central Michigan University April 18-22.

  • Pender – Zachery Randall
  • Plattsmouth – Chloe Hibler
  • Stanton – Faatimah Kouatli
  • Stuart – Brayden Almgren
  • York – Kirsten Fike

Results from the national tournament:

  • Brayden Almgren and Kirsten Fike – Duo Interpretation Octafinalist (top 48)
  • Jadyn Burenheide – Extemporaneous Speaking Octafinalist (top 48)
  • Zachery Randall – 5th place, Novice Impromptu Speaker

The national tournament ends the 2023-24 season for the Wildcat forensics team.
