Royalty selected for 2022 were Blake Bartling of Verdigre, Neb., and Molly Johnson of Sioux Falls, S.D.

Wayne State College announced the Homecoming court and royalty for this year’s Homecoming festivities at the College. The royalty, which were selected by student votes, were crowned Oct. 6 in a ceremony in the Student Center. Royalty are Blake Bartling of Verdigre, Neb., and Molly Johnson of Sioux Falls, S.D. They will also be recognized at the football game Saturday, Oct. 8.
The full 2022 Wayne State College Homecoming Court include:
- Blake Bartling is a communications major and a senior from Verdigre, Neb. He is an officer for clubs such as Lambda Pi Eta, the Agricultural Communicators of Tomorrow, and Wildcat Relations.
- Liz Blaser is a chemistry health sciences major with minors in public and global heath and Spanish and is a senior from Duncan, Neb. She is involved on campus in organizations such as Theta Phi Alpha, Philomatheans President’s Honor Society, and Student Senate.
- Brittany Ellison is an interdisciplinary studies major studying event management and a senior from Callaway, Neb. She is a part of the Student Activities Board and Rotaract.
- Taylor Ference is a business administration / agribusiness, marketing, and management major and a senior from Loup City, Neb. She is a member of the Wayne State rugby team and participates in several clubs and organizations on campus.
- Austin Fernau is an applied human and sport physiology major and a senior from Carroll, Neb. He is in his final semester and plans to go to grad school and pursue a Doctorate of Occupational Therapy.
- Kirsten Fike is a social science and speech education major and a junior from York, Neb. She is a captain on the Wayne State Speech Team and is on the worship team for Delight Ministries.
- Addison Hejl is a secondary social sciences education major with a minor in political science and is a junior from Pleasant Dale, Neb. She is a student senator and a member of the Wayne State Speech Team.
- Molly Johnson is an elementary education with early childhood development major and is a junior from Sioux Falls, S.D. She is a part of the Newman Club, Chess Club, and Navigators, among other clubs on campus.
- Aubreanna Miller is a journalism and communications studies major with a minor in editing and publishing and is a junior from Milford, Neb. She serves as editor-in-chief of The Wayne Stater and holds membership in Theta Phi Alpha.
- Hannah Mills is a chemistry health sciences major and is a senior from Norfolk, Neb. She is president of Active Minds and is involved in other organizations on campus such as Theta Phi Alpha and Navigators.
