As you may remember, it was a rough start for the Sakai system (and the many of you who use it) this semester.
As you may remember, it was a rough start for the Sakai system (and the many of you who use it) this semester. We had some performance problems and then the cure we first tried was worse than the illness! Last Monday we tried another adjustment to the system and we’ve been watching it closely since. It would appear that the adjustment we made on 9/17 did in fact resolve the widespread performance problems we were having.
A couple of things surrounding that:
First, our apologies to students and faculty alike. We know the Sakai system is a critical tool for you and it can be exceptionally frustrating when it isn’t performing well. We strive to keep every system we have running well for folks to use and we didn’t hit that mark for Sakai in the first couple of weeks. We’re sorry for the inconvenience it caused.
Secondly, please treat time since last Monday as new territory if you do have issues with the system. While we may have some isolated issues, we don’t think we have the kind of systemic ones we had before, so do let us know if you’re still having a problem. Please give the Service Center a call at 402-375-7107 during normal hours:
- Monday through Thursday: 7:30AM through midnight
- Friday: 7:30AM through 5:00PM
- Sunday: 6:00PM through midnight
