The Museum of Anthropology highlights human achievement throughout the ages.
Wayne State College will host the Museum of Anthropology grand opening on Wednesday, Oct 4, from 2:30 to 5 p.m. The museum will be open on Saturday, Oct. 7, for Homecoming after the parade until the end of halftime of the football game.
The Museum of Anthropology highlights human achievement throughout the ages. Displays show the place of humans in the physical world, the development of the human brain, and some of the accomplishments of humanity both ancient and modern. They also demonstrate how people have used many elements of their environments to meet their needs including stones, plants, clay, and metals. These displays represent most of the disciplines in the social sciences programs at WSC: history, geography, political science, psychology, sociology, and anthropology.
