This event marks the grand opening of the library renovations that were recently completed.
Wayne State College President Marysz Rames welcomes the public for the U.S. Conn Library grand opening Oct. 6 from 3 to 5 p.m.
Before the event begins, the WSC faculty art show will be open for viewing beginning at 2:30 p.m. in the Nordstrand Visual Arts Gallery, located in the library.
Grand opening events include an opportunity to experience the library on your own or join tours by library staff from 3 to 3:45 p.m., sample Jitters Red Mango refreshments, and observe the ribbon-cutting ceremony south of the library at 4 p.m., which includes the Wayne State College band and flag performers. Events conclude at approximately 5 p.m.
Rames will welcome everyone at 4 p.m. Kevin Armstrong, Chief Executive Officer of the Wayne State Foundation, will recognize essential donors of the project. Rain location will be indoors with the ribbon-cutting near the entrance.
