Retired Astronaut to Speak at Wayne State on April 7

Clayton Anderson is the only astronaut from Nebraska, joining NASA in 1998.

Nebraska native and retired astronaut Clayton Anderson will present "You're Just Like Me" and sign copies of his book "The Ordinary Spaceman."

Wayne State College is proud to announce Nebraska native and retired NASA Astronaut Clayton Anderson will be presenting “You’re Just Like Me” at 10 a.m. Friday, April 7, in Ramsey Theatre. The event is free and open to the public.

Anderson is the only astronaut from Nebraska, joining NASA in 1998. During his career, he was a member of the Expedition 15 crew, spending 152 days aboard the International Space Station, where he performed three space walks. He also served as an aquanaut aboard the Aquarius underwater laboratory, working and living underwater for two weeks.  

Anderson will be signing copies of his book "The Ordinary Spaceman: From Boyhood Dreams to Astronaut" in the lobby of Ramsey Theatre after the presentation. Copies of the book will be available for purchase at the event.
