Several Wayne State College students were recognized for their excellence in music during the college’s Fall 2024 Honors Recital held Dec. 5.
The concert featured select students recognized for outstanding progress in voice or instrument. At the end of each semester, Wayne State’s Department of Music celebrates excellence in music with an Honors Recital.
Honorees were Kaitlyn Michaelson, mezzo-soprano; Grant Ferrell, horn; and Morgan Czajkowski, flute; all of Lincoln; Logan Hellerich, tenor, Shelton; Ryan Johnson, multiple percussion, Doniphan; Christopher Woerdemann, piano, Wayne; Jayden Carper, trombone, West Point; and Riley Gausman, trumpet, Columbus.
The Honors Recital recognizes students demonstrating the highest performance level in selected voice or instrument. Faculty members nominate diligent students who have made significant progress based on private study lessons.
