In addition to the longstanding Outstanding Alumni Awards, the 10 Under 10 Young Alumni Awards aim to recognize and celebrate the outstanding achievements of our alumni who have made significant contributions to their communities and professions.
These awards provide us with the opportunity to honor and showcase the remarkable accomplishments of our alumni, while also inspiring current students to pursue their passions and make a positive impact in the world.
The awards will be presented during our upcoming Homecoming celebration. This special occasion will serve as a fitting platform to recognize the exceptional talent within our alumni community and celebrate their contributions to Wayne State College.
Criteria for 10 Under 10 Alumni Award
- Emerging leader making significant contributions by living out their calling
- Engaged in the local or global community through professional and/or volunteer involvement
- Serving as an outstanding young role model for current and future students and alumni
- Using their education to think about important issues with wisdom and clarity
- Communicating effectively to bridge boundaries that divide human communities
- Making a difference
- An alum within 10 years of their graduation
Submit a Young Alumni nomination
If you nominate someone, your nominee will be notified of their nomination, but your identity will remain confidential. If you would like them to know you nominated them, please feel free to share with them personally.
A nominee will remain on the consideration list until his or her graduation date exceeds 10 years prior to the current year. For example, a 2014 WSC graduate will remain on the list until the year 2024.
