Golf Tournaments

The Wayne State Foundation annually hosts golf tournaments to raise money for Wayne State College. Two of the main tournaments include the Catbacker and the Wildcat Classic, with others held during the summer as well.

Catbacker Golf Tournament

The Catbacker Golf Tournament is held annually in June at the Wayne Country Club in Wayne, Neb. The tournament is a four-person scramble with 18 holes. The day opens with breakfast and closes with dinner and awards. Entry fee includes meals, refreshments, and green fees. Proceeds support Wildcat student-athletes.

There are also opportunities for hole sponsorships.

For more information on the Catbacker, contact Megan Finn, Director of Athletic Development.

Wildcat Golf Classic

The Wildcat Golf Classic is held annually in the summer at Eagle Hills Golf Course in Papillion, Neb. The tournament is a four-person scramble with 18 holes. Entry fee includes practice range, burgers and brats, and a keg of beer. Proceeds support Wildcat student-athletes.

There are also opportunities for hole sponsorships.

Alumni Reunion Golf Tournaments

Some golf outings are held as alumni reunions. In the past, WSC has hosted a Women's Wildcat Open, Cats Unite Classic (for football alumni), and a golf outing for baseball alumni.
