Wayne State's Early Childhood Inclusive Education (birth-grade 3) and Early Childhood Education (PK-3) programs are designed to prepare students for teacher licensure or certification in Nebraska. The Early Childhood graduate program does not meet teacher certification/licensure requirements through Nebraska Department of Education. It has not been determined if these programs meet requirements for all other states (listed below).

Prior to being issued a teaching license in Nebraska, students must meet required benchmarks and receive a passing score on the state's content exam.
- Early Childhood Education (MSE in Curriculum and Instruction): The Early Childhood Education graduate program is designed for teachers who are already certified in this content area and serves as an opportunity to go deeper into their specialty while simultaneously earning a master’s degree. This program does not meet initial teacher certification/licensure requirements through the Nebraska Department of Education.
