The four-year plan is provided as a suggestion. Final decisions rest with the student and advisor based on availability of courses. Summer courses are not included in this plan but may be an option. This should be discussed between the student and advisor.

  1. Humanities electives include all ART, CNA (Communication Arts), ENG (English), MUS (Music), PHI (Philosophy), and SOC 110 courses. Honors sections accepted.
  2. Family and human behavior electives include CNA 201, CNA 210, all CSL (Counseling), CJA 405, EDU 217, FCS 110, FCS 220, FCS 230, all PSY (Psychology, SOC 220, SOC 305, SOC 355, and SOC 415. Honors sections accepted.
  3. Political science and social organizations electives include al ECO (Economics), GEO (Geography), POS (Political Science), SOC 110, SOC 320, SOC 420, and SOC 460. Honors sections accepted.
  4. Culture, race, ethnicity, and gender electives include ART 440, EDU 217, GEO 300, HIS 120, HIS 170, HIS 171, HIS 465, HSC 296, MLC 110, all languages courses (FRE, GER, or SPA), SOC 110, SOC 345, SOC 350, SOC 445, and SOC 465. Honors sections accepted.

UNMC Requirements:
Students must earn at least a C+ or better and must have a 3.0 cumulative GPA for prerequisite courses (above 3.3 recommended).
#Students must complete these courses within seven years of applying to UNMC Accelerated Nursing Program.

WSC Requirements:
Students must have a C- or better in BIO 110 and CHE 106 to enroll in BIO 320, BIO 385, and BIO 486.
To graduate, students must pass 120 total credit hours of which 40 hours must be upper level (300 or above) and a 2.75 cumulative GPA.
