Special Education Advanced Study

The advanced study option is for students who currently hold a teaching certification in special education and are seeking advanced study in special education at the same level as their initial certification. All candidates must maintain a GPA of 3.0. No grade below a “C” will be accepted toward the completion of an advanced degree.

  • SPD 545 Assessment Guiding IEP Development (3)
  • SPD 565 Differentiated Methodology (3)
  • SPD 611 Organization/Administration of Special Education (3)
  • SPD 630 History and Characteristics of Exceptionalities (3)
  • SPD 636 Social/Emotional Behavior (3)
  • SPD 652 Collaboration and Co-Teaching in the Field (3)
