TRIO Housing provides a home away from home for eligible students accepted into TRIO Student Support Services at Wayne State College. TRIO staff offers academic support and individualized attention to help students achieve academic success, become engaged in campus life, and graduate from college. WSC TRIO students automatically become part of the living learning community.
TRIO Housing provides a supportive encouraging home base for first-generation students in college, low-income, students with disabilities, and students for whom English is not their first language. The TRIO community is a place where TRIO students can easily find other students who share similar life experiences and academic goals. Students have great access to their TRIO advisors and TRIO resources to help them be successful at Wayne State College.
TRIO Housing participants receive comprehensive, individualized, high-quality programming and services to help them adjust to college life, develop strong relationships with students, professors and advisors and achieve their academic and career goals.
While TRIO Housing focuses primarily on the first-year experience, TRIO also provides services to participants throughout their enrollment at Wayne State College.
