Cost and Requirements

The cost of the program is based on students paying resident tuition rates. The cost includes 6 credit hours of tuition and fees, round trip airfare from Omaha, housing in Costa Rica, health insurance, field trips, breakfast, and dinner. Students will be responsible for their own spending money while on the trip. Field trips being planned include Manuel Antonio National Park, Arenal Volcano, Poas Volcano, La Paz Waterfalls, a San José City tour, a mangrove tour, and a coffee plantation tour.


Students currently attending any college or university are welcome to attend. They should have at least a 2.5 GPA, completion of at least one semester of college, and completion of Spanish 120 Elementary Spanish 2 or the equivalent.

Other important things you’ll need to know:

•    Participation is limited to 23 students
•    Qualified students will be selected on a first-come, first-served basis
