Pre-Chiropractic Program of Study

Every effort is made to ensure this information is current, but please be aware that some content may have changed. There is no substitute for developing a careful course registration plan in consultation with your advisor. The class sequence listed is suggested only. The final decision rests with the student and academic advisor.

A minimum of 90 hours is required for enrollment and 30 of those hours must be upper level credit (15 hours must be in humanities/social sciences). Additional electives in chemistry, physics, biology, psychology, and business/economics are suggested.

Doctor of Chiropractic: 3+1 agreements with Palmer College of Chiropractic, Northwestern College of Chiropractic, Cleveland Chiropractic College, Logan College of Chiropractic. Admission to a Doctorate of Chiropractic program with successful completion of at least 30 credits will result in a 3+1 B.S. degree at WSC.

A minimum grade point average of 3.0 (with no grade below a C) in the pre-professional prerequisites is required. Students completing required curriculum with a GPA of 3.0 (Logan and Cleveland) to 3.25 (Northwestern) will be admitted to a chiropractic program.

Northwestern does not accept CLEP examinations for required science courses. It is advisable that all required coursework be taken for a grade.

**You will spend the first three years at Wayne State College and your last year at an affiliate chiropractic school. After your last year, all credits will transfer back to WSC, and you will graduate with your B.S. in Life Sciences from WSC.
