About the Office Administration Degree Program

The Office Administration degree program prepares office technology and office administration students to manage today’s technological and business environment. The roles of administrative office managers have expanded to accommodate using not only the latest office technologies, but also the implementation of workplace management and supervision skills. In the Office Administration degree program at Wayne State College, students will have opportunities for retraining, upgrading existing skills, acquiring new skills, and using up-to-date equipment prevalent in modern business offices. The Office Administration degree program offers specialized training for students preparing for career opportunities in office management, administrative secretarial work, word and information processing, records management, and human resource management. With appropriate supplemental educational courses and work experience, students enrolled in the Office Administration concentration will also be prepared for a variety of industry certifications, including Microsoft Office, Certified Records Manager, and Certified Professional Secretary examinations.
