Do you have a desire to learn more about complex health issues, the ability to think critically and creatively, and a desire for career passion? Through classes in the Public and Global Health minor, you’ll learn to apply your academic and professional interests to help solve issues relating to public and global health. You’ll get to choose from a variety of disciplines, including biostatistics and epidemiology; health policy, systems, and administration; environmental health; biosocial determinants of health and disease; or disease prevention and health promotion. You’ll have opportunities to attend the annual Global Health Conference and conduct research with the Northeast Nebraska Public Health Department and award-winning WSC faculty, including a Fulbright Global Scholar. Wayne State also has agreements with UNMC College of Public Health graduate programs. The
Public Health Early Admission Student Track (PHEAST) allows sophomores to apply for early admission to UNMC and includes a scholarship for remaining semesters at WSC. You can also fast-track your career by completing your B.S. and MPH in 3+2 years.
