Construction Management Minor

As new businesses need new facilities and the population continues to grow, buildings are necessities. Contractors, engineers, and surveyors are needed in addition to construction crews to make these places a reality. Careers in commercial or residential construction are possible with a construction management minor. In this minor, you’ll learn computeraided design (CAD), print reading, surveying, estimating and bidding, and project management. Pair these courses with some business classwork along the way, and when you graduate, you’ll be ready for careers in construction management, helping people build their dream homes or companies form new business locations. And if you love the performing or visual arts, you can even pair a construction minor with theatre arts to help plan and build amazing sets for film and stage.
