Management Information Systems Minor

A minor in management information systems will provide you the ability to persist, endure, and prosper in an environment where information technology continues to change at an accelerated rate. The MIS minor pairs well with many of the non-computing programs at WSC. It tells employers that you are prepared to survive and thrive in a world that heavily relies upon information and related communication technology. Through courses in the minor, you’ll learn how information technology impacts all aspects of organizational and personal life, and how it can be used to the strategic advantage of an organization. You’ll examine the role and function of information systems and learn how to integrate this technology to meet the needs of users at any level. By studying the use of systems that generate, process, and make use of information, you’ll gain an advantage over other equally qualified job candidates in your field.
