Editing and Publishing Minor

Businesses and professional organizations today all produce publications for their customers and constituents. Employees with these skills are valued greatly. The Editing and Publishing minor provides you practical experience in digital and print production of newspapers, magazines, books, e-books, and other types of publications. You’ll learn publication management and planning, layout and design, content creation, and promotion, using industry standard layout and design software packages. The skills learned in this minor complement a wide range of other majors and minors, as they can be used throughout all businesses and organizations that produce digital or print publications.

2023-24 Academic Year

Required Courses: 21 hours

A minor must include a minimum of 12 hours unduplicated by your major(s) and minor(s). Complete at least 50% of the hours in the minor at the 300-400 level.
