Students wishing to challenge their course placement, or who have no ACT or SAT scores, may take the math placement test. Contact Dr. Jenny Langdon for details and to sign up for the exam. Placement tests are given as needed, generally before and during registration week, and during the first week of class. Students may take the placement exam once every 12 months.
Students can earn credit for MAT 110 Topics and Ideas in Math or MAT 121 College Algebra by taking the College-Level Examination Program (CLEP) mathematics exam. This option should be discussed with an academic adviser and must be taken prior to completion of a higher-level math course.
For questions about math placement, contact Dr. Langdon. For questions about the CLEP test, contact the Counseling Center at 402-375-7321.
