About Henry

Hometown: Crofton, Neb.

High school: Crofton High School

College education: B.S. Agricultural Education  - South Dakota State University '16

Favorite things about WSC: I love how our programs are purposefully designed to meet the needs of students here at Wayne State College and the hiring needs of our surrounding communities. We also have great faculty who get to know their students on a personal level and are willing to go above and beyond to ensure that students find success.

Favorite spot on campus: I always enjoy visiting the Carhart Science Building. In the lower level you will find the Fred G. Dale Planetarium which displays astronomical artwork and historical items. The planetarium also hosts various shows and classes which are open to students and the public. Walking to the upper levels of Carhart will allow you to see the many science-based murals painted on the walls and floor of the building. Head back down to first floor so you don't miss the A. Jewell Schock Natural History Museum.  Here you can see several exhibits that display specimens of more than 15,000 life forms!

College search advice: Stay organized! Keep a folder or binder of all your college materials including visit information, scholarships, and important contacts. This will help you meet important deadlines and allow you to easily access any information you need. Also, keep an open mind. Make sure you visit multiple schools, and don't hesitate to reach out with any questions you have!

Hobbies: I enjoy being outdoors, playing/watching sports, spending time with friends and family, traveling, and working on any project that allows me to use tools...woodworking, mechanical work, etc.

Fun fact: I consider myself a lefty as I eat and write left-handed, but I play all sports right-handed.
